Roswell, NM— ENMMC has named Julie Chavez Clinical Director of the Year. Julie is the respiratory therapy director and is willing to lead from the front lines. She makes sure her employees, coworkers and patients are taken care of and fosters a positive work environment. She is passionate about the patient experience and strives to make sure patients are given high quality care and great service and encourages her employees and co-workers to do the same.
Julie is part of the Employee Satisfaction Committee and Patient Experience Committee. She is a member of the Goddard Rocket Football Booster Club and in her personal time advocates for wheelchair and handicap accessibility education as well as spinal cord injury awareness.
During the COVID surge of 2020 and 2021 Julie was tasked with leading the RT department and facilitating care for patients in her community. She accomplished this through creative staffing, obtaining additional equipment and expanding the current fleets in her department to adequately service the increased number and acuity of the patient population as well as working with medical providers to implement therapies which have been crucial in caring for COVID patients. She also managed to maintain and even add full time staff in this competitive market where turnover is traditionally high.
We appreciate Julie for all she does for our ENMMC family and community!
