4/5/2021
Eastern New Mexico Medical Center is excited to announce our new collaboration with Trans Aero MedEvac. Eastern New Mexico Medical Center will now house the Trans Aero aircraft on our helipad full time.
The aircraft will be staffed with an Advanced Practice Provider as well as Certified Paramedic. Consistent with other Trans Aero MedEvac air ambulances, it will also carry lifesaving whole blood and liquid plasma, as well as specialized equipment, such as ultrasound and ventilators, to deliver appropriate critical care to all patients.
“We feel this is a great opportunity for our region to better serve our community, “ said Warren Yehl, CEO of Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, “having the aircraft on site will help to improve the efficiency of both incoming and outgoing transfers for patients. These services will just continue to streamline our mission to provide modern evidence based care and complement our Trauma, Stroke and Chest Pain Center Accreditations.”
Eastern New Mexico Medical Center is a 162-bed acute care hospital guided by a mission to be a great place for employees to work, physicians to practice, and patients to receive compassionate and quality care. In addition to emergency services and medical and surgical care, the hospital provides specialty services including invasive cardiology, cancer treatment, women’s services, rehabilitation, mental health services and advanced diagnostic imaging. ENMMC is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and is an Accredited Chest Pain Center, Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center.
