Welcome

Welcome to the Eastern New Mexico Family Medicine Residency Program, a community-based, "1+2" rural track family medicine program in Roswell, New Mexico. We are affiliated with the University of New Mexico Family Medicine Residency Program where our residents take advantage of a well-rounded first-year experience in Albuquerque. We train our second- and third-year family medicine residents at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center (ENMMC), and in our Family Medicine Residency Center - which provides residents with office-based experiences.

Our Program

We prepare you to provide high quality evidence-based health care, especially to rural underserved populations. You will care for and manage your family medicine patients at our Residency Center, at ENMMC, and while on-call with family medicine attending physicians and various consultants.

Our program is a balance between academic excellence and clinical training for underserved rural areas. We facilitate your transition from trainee to physician by promoting professional maturity and competence.

Training is personal and resident-oriented with a 4:1 resident to faculty ratio. Our one-on-one precepting and small group teaching are supplemented by telemedicine conferences and a weekly structured academic half-day.
