The Eastern New Mexico Family Practice Residency Center is now in its new building at 350 W. Country Club Road Suite 101. It is located one-half block west of Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. The hospital built the center exclusively for use by the Residency Program as a family practice clinic and a training facility for residents' 2nd and 3rd years of family practice training.
Our medical director, faculty, residents and staff provide a full range of primary medical and obstetrical care in a warm, personal environment that encourages learning. You will follow your own panel of patients throughout your two years in Roswell, working with a strong faculty, talented and dedicated Residency Center staff and up-to-date technological support.
We have individual offices for 8 residents, 3 faculty offices, 1 precetor room, 10 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, an on-site lab, library and a conference room. The computerized office and scheduling systems serve as a model for future clinic systems in the community.
Our Services
Residency Center patients want more than a medical diagnosis - they want the comprehensive, personalized care that our residents and faculty are known for providing. Our residents specialize in caring for the physical, mental and emotional well-being of our patients and their families. They learn and understand the differences of the culturally and economically diverse patients, and the unique needs of the infants, children, adolescents and adult patients.
You will gain experience in office procedures that include minor skin surgery and biopsy, wound repair and arthrocentesis.
The full service maternity care you provide includes prenatal care, ultrasounds, vaginal deliveries and C-sections, and postpartum care, including participation in our weekly prenatal clinic for medically indigent women. Your care for expectant moms is supplemented by the hospital's childbirth education classes and Tiny Toes - a free maternity education program offered to all moms-to-be who will deliver at ENMMC.
The experience you gain in women's health will include diagnostic and screening procedures like pap smears, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, neuroplant and IUD removal, osteoporosis care and hormone replacement therapy.
