Visiting Hours

The support of family and friends can be beneficial to a patient’s well-being, and visits can support a healing environment for patients.

In some cases, visiting hours may be limited or expanded in accordance with the physician’s treatment recommendations, or if it is in the best interest of a patient.

Visitors should be free from communicable disease, including colds and flus.  Please limit visitors to two at a time.

Concierge Services

At Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, we know how important great healthcare is, and we also know just how vital great customer service is for patients and their families. We understand that no one wants to be in a hospital and our goal is to help make patients as comfortable as possible during their stay with us. To assist with this, ENMMC now offers Concierge Services Monday-Saturday, 8am-8pm.

What is Concierge Services?
Similar to a hotel concierge, a Hospital Concierge coordinates services in response to a patient or family need. They facilitate communication between patients, families, visitors and staff in order to enhance the provided clinical services and they also combine problem resolution and crisis intervention skills to promote a positive hospital experience. In short, they serve as a Patient/Family advocate dedicated to providing excellent customer service.

At ENMMC, the Hospital Concierge’s, Elly Read and Sheila Anderson, are dedicated to providing courteous service, assuring patient needs are met by making continual rounds through all areas of the hospital. And they work closely with hospital staff on resolving issues once concerns are raised by a patient or family member. They can also assist with getting oriented to the hospital, are a resource for communication needs, provide comfort during difficult medical situations, help locate hotels in the area that offer discounted rates, and provide information on local dining and transportation. They can also arrange for those "little things" that make a patient’s stay more pleasant.

Who benefits from Concierge Services?
Everyone benefits from having the added resource of Concierge Services available. It provides a designated person to listen, proactively problem solve, and assist with communication needs. On a daily basis, the Concierge’s work closely with:
v Patients
v Families
v Staff Members
v Physicians
v Local agencies and businesses

Smoke Free Facility

As a community health leader, we take our role seriously.  One of our goals always has been to provide a healthy and safe environment for our patients, employees and visitors.  Continuing evidence convinces us that a major step in reaching that goal is to eliminate smoking and tobacco use on our campus.

ENMMC is a smoke-free facility.  Smoking and tobacco chewing are not permitted inside any of the buildings.  Smoking is only permitted in designated outside areas. Please refrain from smoking near the entrances.

Ask your caregiver for “stop smoking” information available in all patient care areas.
