After discharge from the hospital, you will receive a statement after your insurance company pays.  Because the insurance company’s response time may vary, you may not immediately receive a statement after your discharge. 

If you do not have insurance, you will receive regular statements with the current balance.

If any questions arise regarding your hospital bill, please call Business Services at (575) 624-8731. Have your patient account number and date of your visit available; a Business Services representative will be available to assist you Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

ENMMC Physician and Clinic Billing

Professional Services

Your hospital bill does not include fees for the professional services of your physician, surgeon, anesthesiologist, radiologist, pathologist, consulting physicians and emergency room physicians. You will receive separate billings for services provided by these specialists.

Medical Records

If you require a copy of your medical records, please call (575) 624-8718.  By obtaining the answers to a few questions in advance, our Record Copy Service will be able to have your records ready for you when you come to the hospital to pick them up. You will need to complete an Authorization for Release of Medical Records.  This consent form must be signed and dated by the patient or legal representative. You will be charged .10¢ per page and a $15 retrieval fee if records are needed for personal, insurance or attorney use.
